I've seen cyclists and people on electric scooters ride past psco officers in the town unchallenged, if they'd done their job properly in the first instance they wouldn't be asking for the publics help after some poor sod gets injured.

The town centre is full of cyclists, e-bikes and scooters, riders wearing balaclavas. The whole area is covered by cctv and there's completely useless signage barring their use. There's no excuse for this, it's complete ineptitude and a lack of interest in stopping it.

Well said Dee.i 100% agree with you.The PCSOs and anti social behaviour officers are too busy making money out of smokers who drop Cigarettes butts on the floor, I don't agree with smokers dropping cigarettes butts but these PCSOs and anti social behaviour officers should be coming down harder on these cyclists and scooter riders who more likely to cause serious injuries to members of the public who are out shopping or socialising with their friends and family. I was knocked over from being by a inconsiderate scooter rider two years ago in the town centre. It clearly states all over the town centre, no cycling or scooter but nothing is down about those who disobey these rules.

I get fed up seeing articles like this. “ hi, we are the police but can’t do our job, so can you do it for us”

Apart from the feral face covered youths what about the food delivery riders. As they are in abundance throughout the town centre and increasing. Do they not need some kind of insurance as they are operating as a self employed business. If a car driver behaved like this they would be prosecuted and said vehicle taken off them. Maybe our new MP could bring this matter up in the Big House. As for the Council leader and the police, the public have lost any trust with you.

It's a shame that the Conservative council as well as our former MP have done absolutely nothing with regard to these issues, and as for the police they do not seen to be bothered with people on bicycles or e-scoters or even the amount of drug dealing in or close to the town centre.
