Harlow man tells LBC why he travelled to Middlesborough to take part in riots
Crime / Tue 6th Aug 2024 at 09:54am
LBC’s Tom Swarbrick hears from caller Gary, who lives in Harlow but drove 230 miles to Middlesbrough on the weekend to take part in a riot, which he says was ‘to demonstrate anger at immigration rules.’
At the protest, cars were set on fire and police had missiles thrown at them.
Local police confirmed 35 arrests have been made so far in relation to the violent disorder.
Gary says people from the Middle East and Asia ‘are the main culprits of causing grief’, only to be called out by Tom on ‘white people causing grief by protesting, looting and throwing bricks.’
Tom goes on to question Gary over whether he thinks public sector workers who are black or asian are also ‘lawless’ as Gary describes.
The call finishes with Gary saying he does not think he should be arrested because he had a plasterboard that said ‘get illegal migrants out. Get our country back.’
Simple he travelled because he is an idiot, they might be about to find out as they say the result of their f**king around
A thug is a thug, no matter where where you come from and what you look like
Having listened to this, one other question arises, why would you call in
Stoked by Braverman, Farrage, Robinson and the other hate-mongers. We have anti hate-crime laws. Stop tiptoeing around and lock up anyone inciting this violence and hate. Good people need to stand firm. No one wants to live in a country of hate and fear. I remember the 70's and the National Front riots. We beat it then and we will again. Good to see conman Musk adding his 2 cents worth.
I was listening to this last night and it was making me wince – The bloke was so thick – Then when I heard he came from Harlow, a cold sweat broke out. I think that if these people want to be on the streets, we should give them what they want and kick them out of their social housing and give it to a descent family – I’d also take away their Universal Credit and their white vans. It pains me that I go to work and pay my taxes to keep this ungrateful underclass afloat.
"All my mates think like me" says Gary from Harlow. "Thinking" is certainly not high in his skillset, but it appears he has done a lot of research on the internet.
Good grief! Is there no hope left for humanity? I wouldn’t trust “Gary” - or any of his friends - to sit the right way round on a lavatory. Shame on him, and all those who agree with him.
Based on the interview I'm amazed Gary managed to find his way as far as Middlesbrough - as thick as two short planks!
Generally try not to have a (political) opinion when commenting but - NF morphed into BNP, EDL...BNP manifesto on Islamisation Defend our traditional Christian faith Ban Sharia law Ensure that existing community buildings such as pubs and churches are not turned into mosques Ban the burqa Talk of proscribing EDL (making illegal organisation) by government, just get on with it, along with the BNP You bring shame to Harlow Gary!
Hey - be fair. Gary's clearly very committed to his beliefs and brings his own worldly wisdom to the debate. Somewhere in Harlow there'll be a bar that is set alight every evening, not with kindling and flames, but the white hot too-ing and froing of political discourse over a few pints and a pack of Mr Porky as Gary and his like minded friend(s) set out the masterplan.
This individual should not be given either air time or print coverage
Gary protests he is not racist but then says he has a problem with black and asian people! Oh Jesus Gary, get yourself an education before you dare open your mouth and embarrass yourself on a phone-in. Good God one of Harlow’s finest morons here people! Pity he wasn’t the numpty who got two bricks on his head and one in the b*****ks, might have knocked some sense into him!
I am thinking of a new line of T Shirts, "Harlow and not Hate"
It's Middlesbrough.
Just a reminder that this kicked off because a british born christian boy stabbed 3 girls. Not because anyone asian or middle eastern did anything. This is an excuse for racism
Perhaps someone will read these comments out to Gary.
They walk amongst us. Have to say I'm surprised he had the mental wherewithal to phone the radio station. At least the comments on here are quite heartening - we don't all think like you, Gary. We really don't.
I’m from the north east originally and embarrassed about what’s going on . Gary you’re welcome up there , stay up there please ….idiot
I'm originally from Harlow and I can promise you that Gary is one of the most educated, urbane and (having actually left Essex for somewhere other than East Herts or East London) well-travelled of the townsfolk. He was probably viewed with suspicion and fear when he returned from his little jolly up North, and maybe he now knows how those he hates feel.
Has Gary thought of REALLY making a mark on politics and emigrating to Trumps' Republicans? Sure they'd get on swimmingly!
