History / Wed 11th Sep 2024 at 06:28am

OVER the years, we have paid tribute to a former Harlow resident Simon Maddison, who died. aged 40 in the Town Towers in New York City on September 11th, 2001.

There is a link to our previous tributes below. Many people remember growing up with Simon at Abbotsweld Primary and Passmores Comprehensive.

At the weekend, we interviewed Simon’s widow, Maureen, who lives out in New Jersey.

We wanted to make Simon, the man from Harlow, at the centre of this interview.

Maureen wants everyone to keep Simon in their heart.

Such a wonderful insight into a beautiful man , his wife is a lovely woman and this was a touching story of how they met and of their lives together and great stories she had to share , I really enjoyed it , 9/11 changed the world forever, and it took sooo many from this world, such a senseless act of terror and murder 😢😞
