Armistice Day service held at Potter Street war memorial

Communities / Mon 11th Nov 2024 at 01:34pm

A SERVICE to commemorate the armistice at 11am on November 11th, 1918, took place at the Potter Street memorial on Monday morning.

Rev Alison Taylor led the ceremony attended by a number of local residents as well as Harlow MP Chris Vince.

Rev Taylor made reference to conflicts past and present.

She read the names of the men whose names are inscribed on the memorial.

The men were from Potter Street, Hastingwood, Magdalen Laver and Harlow Common.

We would like to thank David “Tetley” Taylor and his team for, in their own time, maintaining the memorial.
