Health / Sun 29th Dec 2024 at 12:19pm

ENGLAND’S fattest areas where nearly 80 per cent of people are overweight have been revealed reports the Daily Mail.

In places with the highest rates of overweight people as many as 34 per cent of the population are classed as clinically obese, sobering figures show.

It comes as the NHS struggles to cope with the intensifying crisis which sees thousands of hospital admissions from conditions that are related to being overweight every single day.

The figures for Harlow show obesity at 31.2% and Overweight at 71.2%

YH understands that Year 6 pupils in Harlow have the highest levels of morbid obesity in the east of England.

If you live in a Council House, you are more likely to be fat! - So why are we clamouring to build more of them? - Surely it just encourages them and we are going to need that new hospital even sooner! - When I was young, the poor weren’t especially fat, but I guess that there were fewer of the 'stay at home' types and more people who went out to work, rather than feasting all day. It doesn’t help that on the TV during the day, in between the ads for DIY funerals and bingo, every other advert seems to be for one of these foreign owned delivery services.

Sodthisforalark, Try looking at the traffic chaos outside most schools, No poverty with the vehicles i see being driven to drop off the kids who will no doubt be future fatties.
