Did anyone from Harlow play at Live Aid?

ON the 40th anniversary of Live Aid, the BBC showed the concerts from Wembley and Philadelphia in their entirety. Well almost but let’s gloss over that.
Many will have seen the standout moments from Queen’s legendary 18 minutes, David Bowie, Sting, Dire Straits, Madonna and many more in what was a magical weekend back in July 1985.
But if you wondered if there was anyone from Harlow performing, then there was.
Chester Kamen began his musical career at St Mark’s. He once performed at an all day festival in the Harlow Playhouse in 1975.
He was one member of the wonderfully talented, beautiful and charismatic Kamen family.
After that he carved out a very successful career as a session musician. He also played with Pink Floyd’s Dave Gilmour, Duran Duran, Madonna to name just a few.
Here he is with Bryan Ferry performing Slave to Love at Live Aid.
If you know of anyone else, then please let us know.
I recall seeing Chester Kamen & his band playing Saturday lunchtimes at Tiffany's night club. Those were the days ...
I went with my dear friend Carol-Anne Andreetti to see Bryan Ferry play at Hammersmith Apollo. We had front row seats upstairs and we were stunned when Chester Kamen who we knew from school was playing with him. Was so exciting to see him with our idol. We later saw him play Live Aid on TV.
