GREATER Anglia is offering young people and those leaving full-time education the chance to get a two-year apprenticeship in a number of departments.

Two rare opportunities are available as a Safety, Health and Environment Technician Apprentice and as a People Data Apprentice, with positions set to start in September 2025.

Successful candidates will spend 20% of their working hours gaining new skills and knowledge towards achieving their apprenticeship, while the remaining 80% of their working hours will be spent on their roles supporting Greater Anglia’s progress in the areas covered by their posts.

The Safety, Health, and Environment Technician Apprentice will play a vital role in supporting the dedicated Safety, Security, and Sustainability team.

This position will contribute to enhancing workplace safety, reducing accidents, and analysing data to drive operational excellence.

The candidate will work towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship delivered by Train’d Up, complemented by a Level 2 Award in Industrial Environment Awareness and the esteemed Tech IOSH professional recognition upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Applications for this position, which will get a salary of £23,568 per year, are initially handled by Greater Anglia’s partner, Train’d Up. Click here to apply.

The People Data Apprentice, based in the HR team, will work to widen the scope of data, how it’s used and what it reports on, to help Greater Anglia operate even more effectively.

The role also includes tasks like writing data documentation around report functions, intended use of data sources and audiences, helping to create and develop ‘data warehouse objects’, supporting the wider People team to work with data to improve their insights, as well as improving current systems.

The People Data Apprentice will work towards an Advanced Data Analyst Level 4 apprenticeship delivered by QA.

Applications for this position, which will get a salary of £23,068 per year, are initially handled by Greater Anglia’s partner, QA. Click here to apply.

Both job adverts will close at the end of Sunday, 24 August 2025.
