NORTH Weald’s St. Andrew’s CE Primary School is set to host a prestigious black-tie Piano & Music Concert on Wednesday 22nd October 2025 at 5:30pm, showcasing some of the region’s most talented young musicians.

The event will feature outstanding student performers alongside the acclaimed String Quartet from the Harlow Symphony Orchestra, led by Roger Lowry. The school’s own choir will also take to the stage, with further acts to be announced.
More than just a concert, this high-profile event reflects a national drive by the Government and Department for Education to strengthen music education in schools, particularly in primary and secondary settings. St. Andrew’s CE Primary is proud to be championing this vision here in North West Essex.
Music teacher Kevin Barr (Kevin Barr Music), who has been working with pupils to prepare for the concert, says:
“This is not only a celebration of our students’ talent and dedication, but also a powerful statement about the role music should play in education. We want this to become an annual event that raises aspirations and standards in music across schools in the region.”
The evening will also help raise vital funds for educational resources, especially in music, ensuring children continue to have access to the very best opportunities.
