IT is with great pride and enthusiasm that Harlow Cricket Club celebrate a remarkable milestone in the career of one of their club’s players: Paddy Matthews has reached the outstanding achievement of 100 league wickets.

A spokesperson said: “Paddy is, by all accounts, an exemplary figure both on and off the pitch. A quiet young man, he lets his actions speak volumes—his politeness, friendliness, and humour have made him a much-admired presence within the club. Over his lengthy service, Paddy has become a true stalwart, the kind of player who embodies loyalty, humility, and commitment.

“Paddy’s versatility and willingness to serve in any capacity are legendary. Whether opening the bowling or stepping in for a lower XI, he gives his all, performing every role with a sense of purpose and dedication that sets him apart.

“He is always willing to play for any team he’s selected for, never shying away from a challenge and always putting the club’s needs above his own”.
