Terminus House resident charged with attempting to engage a child in sexual activity.

A HARLOW resident is set to stand trial over two charges of attempting to engage a child in sexual activity.

Abdullah Sapry, aged 30, of Terminus House, Harlow has been charged with the following.

Between September 13th 2024 and September 19th 2024 in Harlow, being a person aged 18 or over, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, intentionally attempted to cause a child aged 14, whom you did not reasonably believe was aged 16 or over, to look at an image of a person engaging in a sexual activity.

Between September 13th 2024 and September 19th 2024 in Harlow, being a person aged 18 or over, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, intentionally attempted to communicate with X, a person under 16 who you did not reasonably believe to be 16 or over, the communication being sexual, namely requesting that the child sends indecent images of herself and sent images of adult pornography.

The next hearing is set for October 8th, 2025 at Chelmsford Crown Court.

Sapry has been released on conditional bail.
