Jobs fears at Redchurch Brewery as owners announce restructure

THE future of Redchurch Brewery has been thrown into doubt following the announcement of a restructuring by their owners.
There are fears that jobs could go. We understand there are ten members of staff.
There are fears that the brewery in Mead Park off Edinburgh Way could also go.
The news was first reported by trade paper, The Morning Advertiser (see below).
Since coming to Harlow, Redchurch has worked hard to establish a place in the Harlow community.
However, there was always the shadow of “Harlow’s best kept secret”
Their social value was second to none with comedy nights, music nights and food festivals.
But they were bought out in 2022 by Laines.
YH spoke to Laine’s bosses who explained that trading conditions are very difficult for the brewing industry at the moment.
We await further developments.
Will be gutting if they get closed down, but I did always fear this when the previous owners sold out to Laine.
Another thing to thank our government and chancellor for high taxes and regulations destroy jobs. Sadly I had to make redundancies earlier this year as well. Our focus is now on the US and Ireland with all future investment being there.
