A NEW video to empower families has been launched by the West Essex Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP).

It brings together parents, healthcare professionals and community organisations to enhance maternity and neonatal services offered by the Harlow-based Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT).

The video, made by Eric Johnson Film, was commissioned by the Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB).

Chloe Ribiero, MNVP maternity lead, said: “It’s essential that the people using maternity and neonatal services every day get a chance to help shape the service to make real improvements. We’re here to listen to all feedback from all voices and every family.”

The organisation uses the feedback to pinpoint opportunities for improvement.

Ciara Hibbitt, MNVP neonatal lead, added: “This has been a brilliant opportunity to raise the profile of the work we do and promote this to local families that access the care from PAHT.

“The MNVP’s ongoing commitment is to ensure every family’s voice is heard, fostering a collaborative approach to enhancing maternity and neonatal care in West Essex.”

The trust is responsible for Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow and operates services at Herts and Essex Community Hospital in Bishop’s Stortford and St Margaret’s Hospital, Epping.
