A HARLOW teenager is set to take on the challenge of a Half-Marathon for a very good cause.

Sophie Dollard, aged 17, is doing the London Landmarks Half Marathon for West Essex Mind.

Sophie is a sixth former, studying at St Mark’s West Essex School.

Sophie said: “Mental health is a huge part of my story, as it is for so many others. No one should ever have to suffer in silence or feel alone.

“That’s why, in April 2026, I’ll be taking on the incredible challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise money for a cause that means so much to me.

Although I’ll only be 17 when the marathon takes place, I’m determined to prove that no matter how dark things may seem, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
