Additionally, the Committee holds regular hearings with the departmental bodies, including Ofsted, Ofqual and the Children’s Commissioner.

Chris Vince, said:

“As a teacher of 15 years, I know the importance of education; it’s what got me into politics, and it is what I am most passionate about.

Every young person in Harlow has the potential to succeed, with a balanced and broad curriculum and qualified, passionate teachers who understand the needs of their students and are supported to do their jobs.

That’s why I am delighted to be able to be a voice for teaching staff and students, both in Harlow and beyond, as the newly appointed member of the Education Select Committee.”

The questions are: Why are teachers' leaving the profession in their droves? Why is the recruitment of teachers and teaching assistants being given to agencies? Does MP Vince know?

Further, despite his boss supporting the removal of tuition fees and being elected in 2017 under the Labour manifesto the fees are to be increased. What a disgrace.

Pat on the head for doing what the government tells him to do. No individual thought. Disappointing careerist, using Harlow for his own benefit.

Let's hope for the teachers sake that his representation for them, is not as dire as his representation for the people of Harlow

Make the most of it Chris. Labour's days are numbered !! I used to vote Labour, but the current dictatorship has made me look elsewhere, and it ain't the Tories.
