THIS year’s Christmas production at Victoria Hall Theatre, Old Harlow, is Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland.

One of the most well-known works of Victorian literature, and an example of the literary nonsense genre, Alice in Wonderland tells the story of a girl named Alice who falls through a rabbit hole into a fantasy world of weird and wonderful creatures and characters. Carroll wrote the story to “delight and entertain” and the way it plays with logic has given the tale lasting popularity with both adults and children.

Adapted and directed by Jessica Ricketts, our tale includes favourite characters such as the Queen of Hearts and the Hatter, as well as introducing audiences to some of the lesser-known characters from both Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass. Coupled with stunning visual elements, including costumes that add a new flair to the characters, the cast and crew are excited to take audiences on an adventure through Wonderland.
