Police launch investigation after car shot at in Harlow

ESSEX Police is investigating an incident in Harlow which resulted in significant damage being caused to a car.
A spokesperson said: “We were alerted to the incident, in Barley Croft (off Paringdon Road), at about 6pm on Saturday 22 November.

During the incident, the front windscreen was significantly damaged. Nothing was taken from the vehicle and there were no injuries reported.
As a result of analysis of the car and the area around it, we now believe a firearm has been discharged at the vehicle.
We’re working to identify those responsible and the victim is being supported.
At this stage, we do not believe this incident to be targeted at the victim.
As part of the investigation, we’re asking residents in Barley Croft to please check CCTV and dashcam footage overnight from Friday 21 to Saturday 22.
“Equally, if anyone witnessed any suspicious activity or concerning behaviour in the area, please get in touch”.
