The Bounty Club says thank you to Postcode Lottery players after win in Harlow.

ALONGSIDE the good news that three neighbours in Harlow have won today’s postcode lottery, the Bounty Club, MRCT’s community supermarket based in the former Wilko shop in the Harvey Centre, is also giving thanks.

Alongside awarding the prize money, whenever someone wins the postcode lottery, a donation is given to local charities. £40,000 has been handed to the Michael Roberts Charitable Trust: one of Harlow’s largest charities that runs the Foodbank, Maybury Open Door, Harlow Hive, Bump To Five and the school uniform shop, alongside the Bounty Club.

Chief Executive of the organisation, Andy Thornton, told us:

“Every year we need to find a significant amount of money to make sure all our services are offered to the people of Harlow. We are glad for this help towards the cost of the Bounty Club. This week we have had nearly 200 people in every day at our big Christmas Sale. We saved  people a lot of money on the run up to Christmas. Anyone can shop with us, though the majority of those who do are on low incomes, so we’ve made a big difference as Christmas comes along. And now it feels like Christmas has come our way – and Harlow has benefited, thanks to this donation!”
