HARLOW Community Colours provided a free Christmas Day lunch for approx 50 guests at a special event in the Harvey Centre.

A volunteer team cooked a full Christmas lunch with all the trimmings and a choice of festive desserts.

Organiser James Griggs said ‘we wanted to ensure that there was a hot meal, company and some festive fun for those who may otherwise have been alone today or who were struggling with the cost.

“Thanks to a number of fabulous donors we had loads of food for everyone and plenty more for guests to take home too.

A big thank you to the marvellous volunteer team for cooking, serving and hosting. Also to our amazingly generous donors including Aston Services Group, Addunis Restaurant, Mamas Café, Harvey Centre Fruit and Veg stall, MRCT, Moody Cow Smokery, private donors and the wonderful Harvey Centre Team who opened up especially for us today’
