IT was a rare and emphatic clean sweep for Harlow Town Cricket Club Harlow Town Cricket Club, as all three senior sides secured victories across the Herts and Essex Border League, underlining the strength in depth running through the club this season.
The 1st XI set the tone in Division Two with a composed five-wicket win away at Takeley 2nd XI. After dismissing the hosts for just 96, thanks in large part to Anil Clarke’s incisive 4-24 and George Richardson’s 3-25, the chase briefly wobbled before Taylor Wood (29) and Luke Luckin (27) calmly guided Town home.

In Division Three, the 2nd XI produced a gritty all-round display to defeat Thorley 2nd XI by 17 runs. James Williamson’s fluent 33 and a sharp contribution from Sarang Kanakan (23) helped reach 116, before Connor Teale’s outstanding 5-25 and Simon Rowell’s 3-15 dismantled the reply.

The 3rd XI completed the perfect afternoon at Ash Tree Field with a 45-run victory over North Weald 2nd XI. Rehan Kataria’s excellent 51 anchored a total of 177-9, before Joe Thomas ripped through the chase with 4-19 as North Weald were dismissed for 132.

It was a weekend that not only delivered maximum points, but also reinforced the growing momentum across the Town setup as the season moves into its decisive phase.
