Appeal after vandals put sleepers across railway line

ESSEX Police are appealing for information following two incidents where wooden sleepers have been left lying across a railway tracks on the Epping Ongar Railway in the Epping Forest district.
Both incidents took place on October 14 – the first near Coopersale Common bridge at around 3pm and the second near Station Road, North Weald Bassett, at around 3.25pm.
During the second incident the driver of the train managed to stop just short of the sleepers and removed them from the track.
A group of teenagers had been seen near the railway line earlier in the day and were spotted again on a bridge over the tracks at around 1.50pm.
The police want to identify and locate this group to see if they have any information about the incidents.
