Harlow man found guilty of possessing offensive weapon in Town Centre pub

A HARLOW man has escaped jail after being found guilty of possessing an offensive weapon in a pub in the town centre.
Peter Hanrahan, aged 58, of Fold Croft was tried at Chelmsford magistrates court.
He was found guilty of:
On 10/03/2018 at Harlow, without good reason or lawful authority, in a public place The Clockhouse Pub, Harlow, an article which had a blade or was sharply pointed, namely a knife.
Hanrahan was committed to prison for three months concurrent, suspended for 18 months. He was also fined £755.00
The court reports reveal that Hanrahan had a number of previous convictions for possession.
Unpaid Work Requirement: Carry out unpaid work for 120 hours within the next twelve months.
