Health: Ross Practice makes changes to emergency appointments

THE ROSS Practice in Bush Fair has announced changes to emergency appointments.
The surgery informed patients that as of Monday March 16th, they will no longer be operating an emergency sit and wait service. It will be by appointment only.
They further informed patients that if you need t see a clinician as an emergency to call the surgery at 8.30am for appointment availability.
They also informed patients that the “turnaround time” for repeat prescriptions was extended form 48 hours to 96 hours.

Can they let us know the reason for the increased turaround time for prescriptions please

Ok then so answer forthcoming but my guess is this is to alleviate the spread of covid-19 and you will be asked for symptoms and travel details? if this is the case why not just say so and as for presciptions well who knows except the practice.
