St Elizabeth’s make urgent appeal
Charity / Wed 3rd Jun 2020 at 09:20am
IN these unprecedented times, St Elizabeth’s estimates that the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic could cost us over £1.2 million – both from lost fundraising revenue and from increased expenditure on staffing and protective equipment.
St Elizabeth’s cares for and supports over 200 children and adults with severe learning disabilities, severe epilepsy and complex health conditions – as a result, many of our service-users are particularly vulnerable to potential infection. We are doing everything we can to ensure the impact of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) is felt as little as possible here at St Elizabeth’s Centre and are providing intensive support to all of our clients during this time.
As well as improving our levels of protection across the site – including instigating barrier nursing in some cases – we have also had to up our staffing numbers to provide an extra level of care to implement these additional precautions. All of these cost vital money and resources.
At the same time, we have had to take the difficult decision to temporarily close our Charity Shops, have had fundraising events cancelled, and grant-decision-making meeting postponed, so creating a large gap in our fundraising income.
Our incredible staff are working extremely hard to ensure we can provide the best possible care and protection to each and every one of our residents in these incredibly difficult circumstances. But to do this, we need your help!
Please give today and support St Elizabeth’s at a time when we need you the most.

Wouldn't suggest working at this place. It's in down fall and i for one can not wait till they get shut by cqc because i bet MANY staff would enjoy seeing the look on the managers faces when they get sacked. POOR excuse off a care home!
