ANOTHER fabulous story from the weekend at Harlow Cricket Club is encapsulated in this lovely photograph taken on Saturday.

Former First XI captain Ryan Jessey back in his whites for the first time since 2019 to support twins Alfie and George who were making their adult debuts.
Anyone who has seen the lads around the club, basically excelling at whatever they turn their hand to, won’t have been a jot surprised they made a great start to their senior cricket careers.
Ryan and Alfie opened the batting putting on 56 for the first wicket. Dad went on to make a fine 68. Young George chipped in with 19 runs towards the end of the innings and was only out charging their seam bowler – the sheer confidence of youth!!!
In the field George grabbed a brace of wickets with superb figures of 2-9 and Alfie took a catch behind the stumps as he performed extremely well with the gloves.
A brilliant start from the boys and great to have Ryan back sharing his depth of experience with the latest generation of players. Another two talented players destined for big things in cricket with Harlow CC and Essex.
Look out for another feature coming soon on a couple of our current Fourth XI as we focus on Girl Power and the significant contribution Evie and Libby are making to the side.
