​SET in the ‘Turkish Room’ of a run-down Public Baths in the East End of London, five women regularly meet to bathe, relax and share their troubles.

Winning the 1981 Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, the play was adapted for film in 1985 starring Vanessa Redgrave, Sarah Miles and Diana Dors.
