IN CASE you didn’t know, Your Harlow has a YouTube channel called YourHarlowFilms.

Since we launched on July 1st, 2013, there are 3,608 films covering all aspects of life in Harlow.

They are all on YouTube plus we have them all on a hard drive. One day, we will donate them so that in the future, people may be able to look at life in Harlow in this part of the 21st century.

Our most popular film passed a significant milestone this week. From May, 2021, a Vauxhall Zafira on fire at the Howard Way/Second Avenue roundabout has just passed 250,000 views on YouTube.

Why, you may well ask? Well,, it looks like a lot of people around the world are interested in either the “design faults” in a Vauxhall Zafira and/or the time it takes for the fire service to attend a job like this.

In may ways, we love the Vauxhall Zafira film.

One of our readers, who is now in her nineties, doesn’t understand the “twiddly thing” You know this, the tinternet. As she lived near to the editor, she would often knock on the editor’s door and ask what the news was for the week (please don’t all try that).

Soon after the Vauxhall Zafira film was uploaded onto our YouTube channel, her son, who lives in Chicago, rang his mother. He mentioned seeing the Vauxhall Zafira film. His mother replied, “But how could you?”.

So we sort of like this film….
