ESSEX Police are investigating a knifepoint robbery in a shop in Old Harlow.

An Essex Police spokesperson said: We were called to reports of a robbery at a business in High Street, Harlow at about 2.05pm on Wednesday 15 January.
It was reported a suspect threatened a member of staff with a knife before robbing them.
“Our officers attended the scene within 10 minutes of the call and launched an investigation which is ongoing”.
Note:
We requested a statement on Wednesday and received this statement on Sunday.
We did ask if they are linking this to attack in Broomfield. We have yet to receive an answer to that query.
We will endeavour to get a description but so far none has been offered.
No cctv in the high street old Harlow ??
Why no CCTV and a description of the attacker?
This person needs to be caught fast.
I think it's pretty clear that Harlow needs more patrol officers. Not PCSO but real police presence with the corrupt equipment including pepper spray and tasers.
*correct
Yes definitely more police. We pay the council tax & some of that goes to the police, I have read that council tax has additional rise due to giving more to the police, REALLY!! Don't see police that often, hear the sirens so what have we got "ghosting police" !! Why should the public put in more when it makes no difference in more police making our streets safer when we don't get to see what we have got in the way of policing. Every time everyday when reading the news regarding Harlow there is someone murdered or found in rivers chopped up, or someone stabbed, robbed, druggies, drunks, even trying to snatch kids, what is Harlow Town coming to apart from a slum & a dreadful unsafe place to come to be or to live.
