Guilfords: Man charged with robbery and dangerous driving following investigation into attack on teenage boy

DETECTIVES investigating a serious assault in Harlow in which a 17-year-old boy sustained life changing head injuries, have charged a man.

A police spokesperson said: ‘We received a call at 9.15am on Sunday 2 February reporting a 17 year-old boy had been found injured in a car park in the Guilfords area. He had been subjected to a serious assault and had sustained multiple serious head injuries, of which the full extent is unknown at this time.
Following an investigation by officers in our Major Crime Team, a man has been charged.
Lee Farrugia of Spruce Hill, Harlow, will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 13 February where he will answer the following charges in relation to their investigation:
Lee Farrugia was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Harlow on the afternoon of Monday 10 February. Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, he has been charged with robbery.
