A MAN has been arrested following a police pursuit that started in London and went right through Harlow.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “At around 15:30hrs on Sunday, 23 February, officers attempted to stop a stolen vehicle in Woodford New Road, E17. 

The car failed to stop and a pursuit was authorised. The driver attempted to flee on foot and was detained near Harlow train station.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and other driving offences.

“He has been bailed pending further enquiries”.
