CUSTOMERS at Specsavers Harlow are being encouraged to get involved in a fundraising campaign in support of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.

The store, located in The Harvey Centre, is hosting a special fundraising day on Saturday 7 June, with activities including a raffle, donation bookshelf, and the opportunity to meet a hearing dog in-store.

To help build momentum ahead of the main event, the team has already taken part in a charity quiz night and set up a donation-based bookshelf in store, with all proceeds going directly to the Hearing Dogs charity.

Faye Hall, Specsavers Harlow audiology director, says: ‘We’re proud to support such an important cause and to raise awareness of the incredible work that Hearing Dogs for Deaf People do. The charity not only provides valuable support and companionship to people living with hearing loss, but also helps to build confidence and independence.

‘We’re really looking forward to the day and want to thank a number of our manufacturers including Signia, Phonak and GN for providing additional cakes, sweets and airtags for our cake sale and goodie bags on the day.

‘Hearing loss is a cause that resonates strongly with us as hearing care professionals, and we hope the community will get behind the fundraising day. We’re really looking forward to welcoming customers to meet one of the hearing dogs and take part in the activities – all while supporting a great cause.’
