Update: 1000 hrs Sunday

AN investigation will be carried out into a collision on the A414 near High Ongar.

We were called to the incident, involving a car in collision with a tree, at around 12.20am on Sunday 29 June. 

A man was taken on to hospital with serious injuries. These injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or changing.

A road closure was in place overnight. This is set to be lifted imminently.

POLICE remain on the scene of a serious collision on the A414 near High Ongar.

Officers were first called to the single-vehicle collision at around 12.20am this morning (Sunday 29 June).

It was reported a car had left the road and collided with a tree.

A road closure is likely to remain in place into this morning.

Detectives investigating the collision need any witnesses, or any drivers in the area around this time, to come forward if they have yet to do so.
