Car collides with tree on A414 near Ongar

Update: 1000 hrs Sunday
AN investigation will be carried out into a collision on the A414 near High Ongar.
We were called to the incident, involving a car in collision with a tree, at around 12.20am on Sunday 29 June.
A man was taken on to hospital with serious injuries. These injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or changing.
A road closure was in place overnight. This is set to be lifted imminently.

Officers were first called to the single-vehicle collision at around 12.20am this morning (Sunday 29 June).

It was reported a car had left the road and collided with a tree.
A road closure is likely to remain in place into this morning.
