Man charged following serious collision on A414 in Harlow

A MAN has been charged following a road traffic collision on the A414 in Harlow.

The collision happened between the Harlow Hotel and the Clock Tower.

Four people were injured and taken to hospital.

An Essex Police spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a collision on the A414 at about 2.40pm on Sunday, October 12. It was reported two vehicles were involved in a collision and one driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries that are not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening.

“A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

Reiss Brightly, aged 32, of Edinburgh Gate in Harlow, is charged with driving while disqualified, driving without due care and attention, driving without insurance, and obstructing an officer.

“He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Monday 13 October.”

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called just after 2.40pm on Sunday October 12 to a road traffic collision on the A414 near Harlow. 

“Four ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene. Four patients were transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”

Let's hope he gets a proper long sentence for his total breaking of the law,
