Crime / Thu 16th Oct 2025 at 09:13am
FROM Integration Support: This National Hate Crime Awareness Week (October 11–18, 2025), we’re joining the call to promote safety, inclusion, and challenge discrimination in our community.

As your local Hate Crime Report Centre, we want to ensure everyone feels supported. This Friday, October 17th, we will be hosting a dedicated Hate Crime Report Session at Harlow Food Bank from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
Our trained Hate Crime Ambassador will be there to:
No one should have to face discrimination or hatred alone. Come and speak with us in a safe and confidential environment.
We encourage everyone to take the Hate Crime Pledge and stand in solidarity with vulnerable individuals.
Let’s show that our community is united.
The Hate Crime Pledge sounds interesting, which I will be happy to take.
What is hate crime? Apparently shouting “from the river to the sea” is acceptable.
Joseph, the people saying that are now a prescribed extremist group........who is saying its acceptable?
Sadiq Khan the major of London.
David, you'll pledge not to be hateful? Why not just skip the grandstanding and go straight to not being hateful? Will give you more time to post your well-researched insightful posts (genuinely, no sarcasm).
As a Jewish women born and bred in Harlow I can no longer visit the town centre alone or with my two young daughters. I’ve just seen the news and an Israeli football team are not allowed to visit Aston Villa for a football match because it’s not safe. There was a petition set up by a Muslim MP to stop this. It’s disgusting us British are Jews are not safe in our own country.
A hate crime pledge will be a virtue signallers fun fest. Does that mean no more posters using terms like nazi's, fascists, flag huggers etc ?
