A TEAM of dedicated staff from Astro Lighting recently took on the gruelling Tough Mudder challenge to raise vital funds for Streets2Homes, a charity supporting homeless individuals in Harlow and the surrounding areas.
Their incredible effort raised £1,650, which will be further boosted by Astro’s match-funding policy, adding an additional £500. Including Gift Aid, the total donation reaches an impressive £2,150.

The Tough Mudder event, known for its physically demanding and muddy obstacles, tested the team’s endurance, teamwork, and determination. Their commitment to supporting vulnerable people in the community reflects Astro Lighting’s strong culture of social responsibility and employee-led charitable initiatives.
“We’re very proud of Team Astro for conquering the tough mudder! The eight of us collectively covered 90km of mud and obstacles involving barbed wire and electric zaps, all for an amazing cause!” said
Bradley Williams spokesperson from Astro Lighting. “Streets2Homes provides essential support for people experiencing homelessness, and we’re delighted to help fund their vital work.”
Kerrie Eastman from Streets2Homes added, “We’re so grateful to the Astro team for their support. Every penny raised helps us provide accommodation, support and essential services, and pathways to improve the lives of those in need.”
This inspiring effort highlights the power of community partnerships and the impact that corporate support can have on local charities.
