Essex leads digital skills drive as Digital Help Finder expands regionally

ESSEX County Council is proud to announce that the Digital Help Finder tool, created by Digital Essex and Mortar, is now available for residents in Hertfordshire.

Essex is leading the way nationally in digital inclusion. Expanding the tool regionally means more people can get the support they need to feel confident online and with digital devices.
The Digital Help Finder is a free online tool designed in Essex to fight digital exclusion. It helps people:
The expansion is part of a partnership between Essex County Council and Hertfordshire County Council. By sharing tools and knowledge, the councils can reach more people across the region.
The tool has already made a big impact in Essex. Now it will help Hertfordshire residents stay safe online and feel confident using digital devices.
Councillor Louise McKinlay, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Communities, Economic Growth and Prosperity at Essex County Council, said: “We’re incredibly proud that Essex has led the way in creating the Digital Help Finder. Seeing it expand into Hertfordshire is a fantastic example of Essex innovation supporting wider digital connectivity. We want everyone to feel confident online and know where to go for help.”
Sophie Mance, Senior Project Manager at Digital Hertfordshire, added: “Bringing the Digital Help Finder to Hertfordshire is a major step in closing the digital divide. Thanks to the leadership of Digital Essex and the collaborative shared service, we can now guide residents on their digital journey and showcase the fantastic community support available across our county.”
