IN 2025, ECCO charity has raised a further £3,000 for Harlow Foodbank thanks to the generosity of customers and a commitment to match every pound donated. The total now amounts to £10,000 over 3 years.
The funds were raised through donations made by customers purchasing donated DVDs, records and CDs from the ECCO Harlow store. Shoppers were invited to give what they could when choosing items, with all proceeds going directly towards supporting people facing food insecurity in the local area.

To double the impact, ECCO pledged to match the total amount raised by customers. Thanks to strong community support, customer donations reached £1,500 — which the charity then matched in full — bringing the final total for 2025 donated to the foodbank to £3,000.
Representatives from the charity said the initiative showed how small actions can make a big difference when a community comes together.
“Every DVD or CD donated might seem like a small thing, but collectively our customers made an incredible impact,” A ECCO spokesperson said “By matching their donations, we were able to turn that generosity into vital support for families who need it most.”
The donation comes at a crucial time for foodbanks, which continue to see rising demand amid ongoing cost-of-living pressures. The £3,000 raised will help provide essential food supplies and support services for people across the local area.
ECCO has thanked everyone who donated, shopped, and supported the store in 2025.
