HARLOW COLLEGE was at the centre of the nation’s media spotlight when he visited the college on Monday lunchtime.
Surrounded by cameras and security, the PM was given a tour of the college by the principal, Karen Spencer, flanked by governors, staff and teachers.
Mr Cameron also donned hard hat and high-vis jacket to see how the building of the new University Technical College was coming along.
Reflecting on his tour, Mr Cameron said: “I am very impressed with the UTC and must praise all those, including Robert Halfon, who have made this a reality.
“It looks like the building is well ahead of schedule and set to open in September. That can only be a real boost to all young people, parents and prospective employers.”
