THE SHADOW chancellor of the exchequer, Ed Balls was the guest speaker at the fundraising dinner for Harlow’s Labour candidate at the next general election.

The dinner was at the Garden of India restaurant in Bush Fair.

Mr Balls gave a rousing and entertaining speech at the dinner as well as organising the raffle.

He was also able to do some canvassing as some residents (and undecided voters) who popped into to pick up their take-aways.

YH spoke to Mr Balls and asked him what he felt were the key challenges for Harlow between now and May 7th next year.
