OVER sixty gypsy traveller vehicles have descended on Latton Common as the problem of illegal encampments in Harlow continues.

Up until yesterday, there were three encampments scattered around the town: Third Avenue, Nortel on London Road and Harlow Common.

After much discussion, Essex Police served an order for the Third Avenue encampment to move.

They have now scattered themselves across the Latton Common.

An Essex Police 4 x 4 vehicle appears to be on a discreet watch.
