Man assaulted by mob in Church Langley

DETECTIVES are investigating a disturbance in which a man was struck around the head with a push scooter, causing a serious injury to his eye.
The 27-year-old victim was involved in a disturbance with a group of between 10 and 15 teenage boys outside Tesco in Church Langley, Harlow, at about 9.40pm on Friday February 5.
The group followed him and there was a further disturbance in the road at the junction of Hadley Grange and Kiln Lane, between about 9.45pm and 9.50pm.
During the incident he was struck around the head with a black and orange children’s scooter.
The man was taken to hospital and is continuing to undergo treatment for the injury to his eye, which was left severely swollen.
Investigating officer Pc Jo Snell, of Harlow CID, said: “I am keen to speak to anyone witnessed the disturbance, saw the teenagers in the area at the time or can identify those involved.”
The youths were aged between about 14 and 16 and one rode a bike.
There are descriptions for two of them.
One was black, aged about 16, 5ft 6ins tall, of skinny build, with an Afro haircut and spotty complexion. He wore a black jacket and jogging bottoms.
Another was white, about 5ft 6ins tall, and wore a blue puffa jacket.
