Halfon BurntHARLOW MP, Robert Halfon was in Burnt Mill on Thursday afternoon.

He met with Burnt Mill GCSE citizenship students. The students, in years 9 – 11, had an opportunity to ask Mr Halfon questions as well as answering his questions about life as a young person in Harlow.

The students are running their own campaign ‘Activiteens’ with the aim of providing a safe youth club for the teenagers of Harlow.

Year 11 student Jade Battell said “It was interesting to be able to talk to Mr Halfon and he gave us advice on what we need to do to achieve the goals for our campaign.”

Students should have asked about redundancies, education cuts and Halfon's vote to cut disability benefits. A chance missed.
