Mobility scooter robber evades capture as he “speeds” away from scene of crime

POLICE are investigating another shoplifting believed to have been committed by a man riding a mobility scooter.
Food was stolen from the BP Petrol Station in Southern Way, Harlow, just before 4.55pm on October 2.
A man who had walked in to the store but arrived and left on a mobility scooter, was challenged by staff but rode away on the scooter before they could contact police.
He is believed to be responsible for a similar theft at the same store on August 20.
The man is described as white, 5ft 6ins tall, with grey short hair and glasses. He was wearing a black jacket and black trousers and was riding a red and grey mobility scooter.
