Halfon to canvass whole of Harlow over new M11 junction

HARLOW MP Robert Halfon is sending a survey to every home in Harlow asking residents their opinions on Essex County Council’s proposals on where a new junction linking the town to the M11 should be built.

Some surveys have already been sent out, and more will be going out over the next few days.

The results will be used by Mr Halfon to learn about what Harlow residents want, and will be communicated to Essex County Council and the Government.

Mr Halfon said: “This decision is the most important choice for Harlow in a generation.

“If done properly an extra junction will boost business, employment, house prices and will transform the town. But we have to make sure that the new junction is sustainable, and that there is infrastructure built alongside it.

“This is why I am sending a survey to almost every home, so I can represent Harlow residents’ views to the Government and Essex County Council.”

The survey forms part of Mr Halfon’s ongoing campaign for a new junction. He has raised the issue in the House of Commons a number of times and also had Ministerial visits.
