Bishopsfield resident quizzes council over lighting

A BISHOPSFIELD resident quizzed the leader of Harlow Council over the nature of the contract with the Kier Group.

James Rogers asked the question at a cabinet meeting of the ruling Labour group.

He asked: ‘Does the contractual arrangement with the Kier Harlow Joint Venture Company (JVCO) include a Service Level Agreement. If so how can a Council Tax payer of the Harlow electorate view the SLA?

The leader of Harlow Council, cllr Mark Wilkinson replied: “The JVCO provides housing and building maintenance and environmental services for the Council. All services are provided in accordance with standards set by the council in consultation with user groups.

“The standards and performance are regularly reviewed by the Environmental Service Improvement Team. Housing and building maintenance standards and performance are regularly reviewed by tenant and leaseholder reps.
