Pop-Up Talent popping up again

Politics / Tue 8th Apr 2014 at 12:13pm

POP-UP Talent will be returning to Harlow this week. They will be in Little Walk between 12pm and 4pm on Friday April 11th.

Pop-Up Talent is a £2 million Big Lottery Funded youth led response to rising unemployment in 16-25 year olds.

The 18 month project was launched by a series of Pop Up Talent Shops across Braintree, Harlow and London last November where young people were encouraged to try out interactive work taster sessions delivered by the local working community.

They are back planning for our next exciting round this April with Harlow Foyer.

A spokesperson said: “Youth unemployment figures are frightening and young people are tired of being a statistic.

“We are individuals with aspirations like everyone else and Pop Up Talent aims to ignite those aspirations through quality interactions with the the working talent of their Harlow community.

“We aim to encourage their digital skills through opportunities to join a 12 week social action project and help them progress with flexible, personalised investment.
