Running: Barnards barnstorm Brighton Marathon

harlowrunningHARLOW Running Club members competed in various marathons as the Spring Marathon season got under way.

At the Greater Manchester Marathon Saira Karim finished in 1869th place out of over 10,000 finishers in an excellent 3hrs 44min 05sec in her debut at the distance.

At the Brighton Marathon, all in their debut at the distance, Andrew
Barnard finished in 4hrs 10min 11sec, Ben Barnard in 4hrs 20min 33sec
and Santosh Kumar in 4hrs 32min 38sec.

At the Paris Marathon Andy Kinney finished in 38,100th place out of
39,115 finishers in 5hrs 44min 58sec.

Meanwhile at the Cambourne 10k, in Cambridgeshire, Janice Page
finished in 322nd place out of 940 finishers in a superb 51min 14sec.
She was followed home by Debbie Barry 379th in 53min 15sec, Michelle
Aitken 461st in a personal best time for the distance of 55min 40sec,
Debbie Smith 469th in 55min 55sec, Jane Evans 509th in 57min 02sec
(PB), Joy Hale 521st in 57min 31sec and Vicky Calver 755th in 64min
46sec (PB).

At the Flitwick 10K, in Bedfordshire, Sean Flynn finished in 131st
place out of 631 finishers in an excellent 38min 28sec.

At the Chelmsford Parkrun 5K Robin Lozeau finished in 80th place out
of 347 finishers in a PB equalling 22min 44sec. He was followed by
David Page 119th in 23min 59sec and Janice Page 120th and 1st Lady Vet
50 in 24min dead.

At the Gunpowder Parkrun 5K at Waltham Abbey Jason Haigh finished in
18th place out of 130 finishers in a superb 20min 25sec. He was
followed by Paul Lee 37th in his debut at the distance in 22min 16sec
and Celia Haigh 93rd in 28min 44sec.
