UKIP on the march in Bush Fair

WE ALWAYS like what we call our Blue Peter moment, when we see a council candidate march past our office. Our office happens to be in the ward of Bush Fair. So, when we saw UKIP candidate, Dan Long going door to door, we thought we would take the chance to grab an interview.
Dan Long feels he has some momentum this week. We will leave our analysis of the ward until later but for now we asked the Karate coach why he thought the other parties might be for the chop this week.
How does a vote in the local elections really have a meaning on Europe? The Local elections are for local services, they can't ever sort out travellers let alone a national issue. Think the candidate really has his wires crossed and it could be said misleading.
I don't think so Lee. If we weren't paying £55M a day to the EU, we would have that money to spend in the UK, and that would get filtered down to Local Councils. Dan is talking more about distorted priorities from the Political Elite - and am sure we'd all agree on that!
It's about local issues Mark and the local councillors have no say in the EU that's the point it's also as I'm sure your agree the residents rating the council we have had did we get more bang for our buck etc. local issues such as grass cutting/ rubbish etc etc
Dan Long speaks the truth which obviously seems to hurt!
