Police appeal for Water Garden witness to call again

DETECTVIES are appealing for a person who contacted police regarding the below appeal to call again. The person suggested the name of someone who may have been responsible but did not leave their name or contact details.

Detectives need to speak to that person to get some more information. This person is asked to contact Dc Mike Ferguson at Harlow CID on 101.

Detectives in Harlow are appealing for information after a man was robbed by four men.

A 38-year-old man from Harlow was walking home from work at around 11pm last night (Friday, May 16) when he was attacked. It happened on the cycle path between the Harlow Water Gardens and the old Passmores School.

The investigating officer, Dc Mike Ferguson, said: “The suspects demanded money from the victim before forcing him to the ground and stealing his I Phone and brown shoulder bag. The victim suffered a swollen eye socket and a bruised lower back.”

One of the suspects is described as white, 5ft 6ins to 5ft 8ins tall, aged around 17 or 18-years-old and was of a medium build. He was wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up and had a round face. The second suspect was white; around 5ft 5ins tall, aged around 14 or 15 and had scruffy, short fair hair. There were two other men at the scene but the victim was unable to give a description of them.

Dc Ferguson added: “The victim has mentioned that there were three other young people in the area at the time and I am appealing for them to come forward as they may be able to assist with this investigation. The exact location of the incident was next to the brook on the cycle pathway.”
