AN ESSEX air ambulance landed on Nicholls Field in Harlow this afternoon after reports that a person was taken ill nearby.

The helicopter landed just after midday on Saturday afternoon in the field which is near to the Clock Tower roundabout.

The ambulance waited for half an hour until the crew returned.

An ambulance was also at the scene and transferred the person to hospital.
