BUSH FAIR ward councillor, Ian Beckett has been elected as the new chair of Harlow Council.

The role of chair is a ceremonial and administrative position and will see cllr Beckett attend a host of functions and chair the council meetings.

The deputy chair of the council will be Church Langley Conservative, cllr Tony Hall
